Global Service Learning Distribution

Geographic spread of our service learning initiatives across the globe.

Our service learning program has expanded nationwide, with significant presence in Hangzhou (8 students in 2024.11), Yunnan (29 students in 2024.5, 46 students in 2025.5), and connections with Yunnan University, Shanghai Community of Music, Malaysia Education Group, and Hong Kong Society for the Aged. The program continues to grow with estimated over 100 students in Yunnan by 2026.

Student Feedback Improvement Trends

Measuring Student Impact: Tracking Growth in Empathy and Social Responsibility.

In 2024, students showed remarkable growth across all social-emotional dimensions. Empathy and Caring rose by +14.5%, Problem Solving by +13.3%, and Social Application by +12.5%. Feedback scores also jumped from 3.9 (2023) to 4.6 (2024)—a +17.9% increase—highlighting rising student satisfaction and learning impact.

Service Learning Outcome Assessment

Measuring Student Impact: Growth in Engagement, Reflection, and Meaningful Learning.

The 2024 results show substantial growth in student outcomes compared to 2023. Meaningful Service and Interest improved by 20.51%, and Overall Evaluation rose by 18.99%. With 8 out of 10 areas showing statistically significant gains (p < 0.05), the data highlights the deepened impact of service learning on student development.

Measuring Elderly Impact: Service Learning's Role in Wellbeing and Mental Health

Following service learning interventions, 22.3% of seniors reported reduced anxiety and depression, while 16.7% noted less pain/discomfort. Improvements were also seen in mobility, daily activity, and self-care. With 66.6% acceptance, the findings highlight the emotional and physical benefits of student engagement in enhancing older adults' quality of life.

Measuring Elderly Impact: Details of EQ-5D-5L Outcomes After Service Learning.

Using the EQ-5D-5L framework, post-test results revealed a significant improvement in Anxiety/Depression (12.59%, p = 0.031) among older adults after service learning. Although minor declines were observed in physical dimensions such as Mobility and Self-Care, the data suggests a stronger positive effect on emotional rather than physical wellbeing.
